Medjugorje will see new Franciscans coming soon, as a number of well-known priests leave the parish to obtain other duties elsewhere. The exchange will put new priests in charge of Medjugorje’s international Youth Festival, and of the Mother’s Village orphanage.

Since the death of its founder Fr. Slavko Barbaric, the orphanage has been headed by Fr. Svetozar Kraljevic who is soon going to serve in Zagreb, the French nun Sr. Emmanuel Maillard informs in the newsletter of her organization Children of Medjugorje, confirming informations received by Medjugorje Today a short while back. Well-known by pilgrims, Fr. Svetozar has been connected to Medjugorje since the mid-1980s.

Medjugorje Today further learns that former parish priest and former Franciscan provincial Fr. Tomislav Pervan will go into retirement in Miletina, one of the hamlets that constitute the parish of Medjugorje – and that Fr. Slaven Brekalo will be relocated to Mostar, to be in charge of the local Franciscan youth organization.    Source   http://www.medjugorjetoday.tv/
